The Art of Listening:
Nervous System Restoration with Sound Current Healing
and Reflective Art Praxes
Engage in the Art of Listening to nourish your nervous system, cultivate communication skills, and build your stamina to face life’s challenges. Join others to tap into both personal and collective creative wisdom. Expect to relax, create and play.
During these 2-hour sessions you will be invited to prepare for a deep relaxation where you can listen to the healing sound current of the gong. Then choose to keep resting while listening, or join in to chant a few sacred songs: the poetry of the Sikh gurus. Afterwards, a short reflective art practice that includes doodling and journaling will be offered as well as time for group sharing.
Song sheets (with translations) will be provided. Please dress in warm layers and if you like, bring 1-2 blankets and/or a mat to lie down upon. (Some blankets/mats are available as well.) You may also want to bring a water bottle. This is a sober event (sober, not somber!) $40 per/person. ($30 for ArtWaves members)
